
IKEA has been running the Secure Mobile Coupons (bCODE) campaign in Seattle for over 2 years. More than 23,000 members have joined IKEA Mobile with over 15,000 redemptions generated. IKEA Mobile runs the member-exclusive offer twice a month which has successfully driven the clients to the stores and made purchases.
Upon visiting the IKEA store, customers scan their bCODE SMS offer at the bCODE MediaPlane touch-screen scanners and print out their choice of paper coupon. The mobile coupons have increased the shopping appetite of the customers since the scan and redemption data are tailored to each segment with person-specific, location-specific and offer-specific. Customers who used the mobile coupons tend to spend 50% - 150% more than those who do not. It proves that the mobile coupons are an effective marketing tool to maintain brand loyalty and drives revenue for the company.
