Forrester conducted a research on the distribution of using various online marketing tools in the US market. The report illustrates that the usage of traditional online advertising medium such as email, SEO, paid search and display are nearly saturated. Thus, there is a lot of room for mobile marketing to grow, and the chart also states that the tendency for adopting the mobile marketing tools is the highest. Furthermore, Mobile Marketing Association expected that advertisers’ expenditure on advertising will decrease by 7% but expand 26% on the mobile marketing sector this year. Hong Kong, with its advanced mobile network and a mobile phone penetration of above 100%, cultured a perfect medium for marketers to tailor messages to their selected segments.
